I've yet to pick up the The Green Knight myself! I've been rather haphazard in my reading of the novels: I've not read her first, Under the Net, either. The most famous of her earlier novels, The Bell, is definitely a good place to start. But it seems everyone who loves Murdoch has their own favourites, so it's really for you to discover!
This is extremely entertaining. "La lettre ruined everything"! Now I must read The Black Prince, but I also want to read The Burning Lotus.
